EUROPE’S TOP RIGHTS COURT BACKS ROMANIAN ELECTION ANNULMENT—A SHAM RULING TO PROTECT THE ESTABLISHMENT

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) just rejected Romanian presidential candidate Calin Georgescu’s appeal, refusing to overturn the shady annulment of last year’s election. No real explanation. No accountability. Just a rubber stamp for the elites.

Georgescu won the first round of the November 2024 presidential race against all odds, after surging on TikTok with massive grassroots support. But just days before the second round, Romania’s Constitutional Court cancelled the entire election, citing vague claims of "Russian interference"—without clear proof.

Georgescu called it what it was: a coup d'état in disguise. He took the case to Europe’s highest human rights court, hoping for justice. Instead? A complete dismissal.

The Strasbourg-based court rejected every single argument Georgescu made:

-The right to free elections—ignored
-The right to a fair trial—denied
-Freedom of speech, assembly, and association—not considered
-The right to an effective legal remedy—thrown out

The court even dismissed his emergency appeal in January, claiming there was "no imminent risk of irreparable harm." No irreparable harm? The people of Romania were robbed of their vote!

This isn’t about Russian influence—it’s about controlling the narrative and blocking outsider candidates from challenging the system. The Romanian government, backed by Brussels elites, feared an unpredictable election and used “foreign interference” as an excuse to reset the race.

They have now scheduled a new presidential vote for May, hoping to get a more establishment-friendly outcome.

This is the new playbook: If an outsider wins, cancel the vote. If they fight back, courts will shut them down.

This ruling shows that no election is safe if the ruling class doesn’t like the result. Free and fair elections mean nothing if courts can erase them on demand.

Is Romania doing the typical EU thing -- i.e. preventing any real, normal, conservatives from running against the ruling mob? Prosecutors have revealed that police have raided nearly 50 addresses of people and associations connected with Romanian presidential front-runner Calin Georgescu, who has denied all wrongdoing and said state authorities are trying to block his candidacy.

Georgescu will reportedly be released from a hours-long detention by police for questioning. But emerging reports say he's been charged with 'attempted coup' and advancing 'false information'. Reuters has summarized the charges against him include forming an antisemitic organization, promoting war criminals and fascist organizations, and communicating false information.

A Romanian Court Press Release cites "attempted incitement against the constitutional order" (coup), "spreading false information," as well as "false statements on campaign funding," and links to "fascist, xenophobic, and antisemitic organizations."

Nothing like this has ever happened before. Nobody alleges that the electoral process itself was fraudulent. The only claim is that classified evidence supposedly exists allegedly suggesting that the popularization of Georgescu’s content on TikTok might have been inorganic. When all was said and done, however, more voters still chose him over anyone else. This means that speculative degrees of separation between them and a foreign actor via social media was enough to annual the election. This is a disturbing precedent that can easily be exploited by the West the next time that a populist conservative-nationalist with “politically incorrect” foreign policy views wins an election. At the time of writing, a redo hasn’t yet been scheduled, but it’s expected after the new pro-Western parliament convenes on 20 December. About that, their elections were held after the first presidential round, but no accusations of foul play followed. This is obviously due to the West receiving its desired result.
