Finland was proud to announce the participation of the world’s “first trans figure skater” at the competition. Sadly, Markku, who cannot skate, made a total mockery of the event. Despite this, Executive Director of the Finnish Figure Skating Association Outi Wuorenheimo praised the trans skater: “Figure skating is a very conservative sport with various strict rules.
