FEMA Helicopters Block Greenville Airport Runway, Banning Aid Deliveries to Desperate Locals One witness on the ground described the scene: “Yesterday, they flew in over 30 planes with supplies for those in need. But today, FEMA flew in 10 helicopters and blocked the runway here at Greenville Downtown. They’ve taken over, and it’s outrageous.” Video footage from the airport shows several FEMA helicopters parked on the runway, with no sign of movement or efforts to assist in transporting relief. “The helicopters are just sitting there, doing nothing.
