Ontario Solicitor General Michael Kerzner wants to toughen the province’s sex offender registry so those on it cannot legally change their names. Kerzner says the Doug Ford government also wants to force registered sex offenders to disclose their emails and social media accounts and report any changes to their usernames, CP 24 reported. Ontario plans to ban registered sex offenders from changing their names during the time period in which offenders are required to regularly check in with police.
