The Canadian outlets - which include the Globe and Mail, the Toronto Star and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), are seeking what could amount to billions of dollars in damages, as they have demanded 20,000 Canadian dollars (US$14,700) for each article they claim was illegally scraped and used to train ChatGPT. "OpenAI is capitalizing and profiting from the use of this content, without getting permission or compensating content owners," the group said in a Friday statement, adding that they're responsible for the "bulk of Canada’s journalistic content."

Anyone who has an old Mac, or if you know anyone in the Freedom community who have an old Mac computer or laptop as old as 2014/2015 or later, if you or someone you know would like to donate to Freedom fighter Radio, please email me to email address provided below to arrange a pick-up.
All of our podcast files / pre-recorded interview video files (including the Pierre Poilievre episode scheduled to be released this January) are stored in a Mac formatted external Hard Drive, and the Mac computer we were using for broadcasting and video editing gave out 3 nights ago. We cannot access the video files to be edited for daily broadcasts for the next few days, unless our external Hard drive is connected to a Mac, as it was formatted for a Mac system.

A new Mac system is just beyond our production budget at this time.
We have one very good PC computer that we are able to use now, it was donated to us 2 years ago by one of our generous listener/ donor to the show Mr. Edward Ronquillo, thanks to this awesome brother !
However, we cannot access the video files from the hard drive used in the old Mac we were using for Freedom Fighter Radio, due to difference in formatting between the functioning computer and the Hard Drive.

Please donate your old Mac desktop or laptop computer as old as 2014/ 2015 system as long as it is functioning, I believe we can use it to convert our video files and edit it on the functioning PC our Freedom Broadcasting we still have!

NEEDS TO BE 6000 cut jobs . On Monday, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC)/Radio-Canada announced a number of programming and jobs cuts in response to "budget pressures." Around 600 current positions will be done away with, and while some of the changes are expected to take effect immediately, others will phase in over the next year.
