PSA: At the bottom of page 29 of a discussion paper by a natural health product lawyer regarding Health Canada's coming "Self-Care Framework", is the following paragraph: "Under our current regulations, health care practitioners are free to prepare natural remedies for their patients on an individual basis. For example, if I visited a traditional Chinese doctor, that doctor could compound a remedy for me individually under the compounding exemption. It is not clear if this exemption will continue under the new proposals. In an email exchange I had with the Health Canada point person on the Self-Care Framework, Health Canada would not confirm or deny that the compounding exemption will survive." These changes don't stop me from offering natural health coaching from a Biblical perspective using wholefood as medicine, food that might be growing right outside your front door. I've finally figured out what is hoped to be a temporary fix to the ecommerce issues on my coaching website! The issue is not actually ecommerce in nature, and I need to talk to my host about it on the back end. But in the meantime, because it affects ecommerce on the front end, I have finally enabled a workaround!!! Yaaaa! If you had visited the shop in the past and tried to put a purchase through but couldn't, now you'll be taken to the listing on Square to complete the purchase, then your purchase can be delivered to you. This works for everything except The Spike Relief Workshop, until I get help with that listing over at Square. If you wish to take that workshop on demand, you'll need to send an e-transfer, after which the workshop files will be sent to you. NEW FEATURE on my coaching website! I've located a text-to-speech plugin that can read blog articles to you if you click the button to listen. You can adjust the speed at which it plays as well. The voice isn't mine, and being digital, it will sometimes read words unexpectedly, such as saying "read" in the past tense instead of in the present tense, or actually saying "asterisk" multiple times for a dividing row made with asterisks. But other than that, if you prefer to listen to your blog articles, now you can on my coaching site. There are more expensive version of this type of plugin out there that would even let me turn my posts into podcast episodes, although without my voice. They also allow for downloading the content as an audio file. Due to costs however, I would have to offer such an upgrade with a monthly membership fee and guarantee at least five people signing on before going with one of those services. For now, the basic idea of text to speech is now available on blog articles that appear on my coaching website. I pray this new feature is useful.
