After a human rights commission fined a rural township for “discrimination” after voting not to recognize June as Pride Month, its mayor is refusing to capitulate to the move he called an act of “extortion.” “I utterly refuse to pay the $5,000 because that’s extortion…and will not take the training,” McQuaker told the Sun Monday. “I did not do anything wrong. Jack Daniel’s Abandons DEI

Brown-Forman Corp., Jack Daniel’s whiskey maker, has scrapped its corporate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs amid growing pressure from conservatives.

In a letter to employees, the Kentucky-based company announced it will no longer tie executive compensation to DEI progress and will end its participation in the annual ranking of LGBTQ-friendly workplaces.

Brown-Forman cited changes in the legal and external environment as reasons for adjusting its DEI efforts.

Previously, 10 percent of short-term executive compensation was linked to DEI goals. The company also scrapped plans to increase minority-owned suppliers.

This move follows similar actions by other corporations that have also faced criticism from anti-DEI activist Robby Starbuck.

Tim Walz Signed Bill To Include Pedophiles In LGBTQ+ ‘Protected Class’ In Minnesota​

​ The state’s original 1993 Human Rights Act included sexual orientation as a protected class, with a caveat that stated, “‘Sexual orientation’ does not include a physical or sexual attachment to children by an adult.”

​ However, Gov. Walz signed an amendment that removed this clause, adding adults who have a physical or sexual attachment to children to the protected class of sexual minorities in the state.

​ During a Senate debate at the time, Sen. Nathan Wesenberg (R-Little Falls), urged lawmakers across the aisle to vote against the controversial bill “lest the people of our state come to believe that the majority of this body supports protecting pedophilia.”

​ However, Wesenberg’s plea fell on deaf ears, and the Senate passed the bill, and Walz ultimately signed the “Take Pride Act” into law.​
