Ontario Solicitor General Michael Kerzner wants to toughen the province’s sex offender registry so those on it cannot legally change their names. Kerzner says the Doug Ford government also wants to force registered sex offenders to disclose their emails and social media accounts and report any changes to their usernames, CP 24 reported. The Trudeau government has ordered TikTok to close its Canadian operations in Toronto and Vancouver because of “national security concerns”—even though people will still be able to use the social media app, CBC News reported Tuesday. Quebec is telling its provincial doctors that they can issue “advance directives” to authorize Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) on unresponsive or mentally ill patients. The Quebec legislature’s Bill 11 allows doctors to administer euthanasia providing the patient had previously offered “advance” permission to do so. Critics say it is another example of Canada’s euthanasia program expanding out of control and into the realm of murder.
