The retailer has been deploying the technology in its stores to prevent retail crime. One of the main concerns about the technology is the accuracy of facial recognition on minority populations with darker skin. Google plans to make its digital wallet available to children whose parents or guardians use the Family Link app so they can perform tap-to-pay transactions through NFC and biometrics.
