• In the letter, addressed to Canadians, Singh says he will "put forward a clear motion of non-confidence in the next sitting of the House of Commons," and "give Canadians a chance to vote for a government who will work for them." This latest blow — seeing the NDP pull out the only pillar of parliamentary support the embattled Liberal government was relying on to stay in power — comes just ahead of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau arriving at Rideau Hall to shuffle his cabinet. "I called for Justin Trudeau to resign, and he should," Singh said, not specifying how early into the 2025 sitting this motion moving to defeat the prime minister's Liberal government could be advanced.

  • What effects will a declining Canadian dollar have on the Canadian economy?
President-elect Trump’s threatened trade actions against Canada could also exert further downward pressure on the loonie, especially if the Bank of Canada responds to Trump’s actions by making additional rate cuts. For context, it took $1.33 Canadian dollars to purchase one U.S. dollar on January 1, 2024, compared to $1.43 Canadian dollars on December 13, 2024. This represents a substantial depreciation in the Canadian dollar’s value of approximately 7.6 per cent over the period.

  • Nearly half of Canadian manufacturers may freeze hiring or lay off workers if U.S. President-elect Donald Trump imposes 25 percent tariffs on all Canadian goods. A survey of 300 manufacturers found that 48 percent are considering these moves in response to the proposed tariffs, according to data released Dec. 19 by Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME). Additionally, 46 percent are considering postponing or cancelling planned capital investments, while 49 percent say they may shift some production to the U.S. if the tariffs are implemented.

  • Yet taxpayers are not on the hook for its losses; Canada Post is funded by the sale of postal products and services. Still, it has been losing money since 2018. In the last six years, its losses have totalled $3 billion, including $748 million in 2023. "The best you can do is make them suck not as bad. That's essentially it. There's no way around that," Geloso, who is also a senior fellow at the Fraser Institute, "It's better if we just go down the route of selling it off."

  • It is absolutely amazing, AND HEARTBREAKING, that we have to even do this but:

We are trying to get bills passed or amended in each state that states all patients can have a family member or advocate with them at all times. We are making traction in 13 states and have gotten some bills passed but we need to get it out to the public to drive public support. Steve Reiter, the founder of the project, has a tragic story of his young wife dying alone in the hospital. We have thousands of victims that this happened to and want to get iron clad legislation so this doesn't happen again.

It would really help us get the word out with a goal of building state committees to lobby our representatives by doing lots of media. Most likely it would be Steve, the founder, a victim, a doctor or nurse and possible an attorney on the interview if possible.

Please read the bills attached in the link provided, you will clearly see the problems with these bills. Any input would be appreciated as well.
