  • After years of litigation, two men who filed a lawsuit against the federal government challenging the vaccine mandate for travel will get the chance to argue their case before a federal court. Shawn Rickard, a Canadian permanent resident from Britain for over 30 years and Karl Harrison, a Canadian citizen, will have their lawsuit heard by a federal court after a motion to dismiss their case was shot down. Rickard and Harrison had previously filed a legal challenge against the Trudeau government’s vaccine travel mandates that was subsumed under another court case filed by People’s Party of Canada leader Maxime Bernier and former Newfoundland Premier Brian Peckford.

  • Starting today, Canadians with short-term travel plans to England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland will need an electronic travel authorization — or an ETA. Travellers planning to visit the United Kingdom for less than six months will be asked to submit information such as their passport details, dates of travel and modes of transportation, which will be reviewed by authorities. The digital pre-screening is new for Canadians flying to the U.K., but a similar system has been in place since 2016 for people from several other countries who travel by air to Canada.

What Net Zero Means: Rationing, Blackouts and Travel Restrictions in the Next Five Years

Earlier this week the Labour backbencher and Chairman of the U.K. Parliament’s Energy Committee Bill Esterson noted that people will have to adjust their habits to meet Net Zero emission goals for 2030. Such honesty, emerging as it does from the Parliament of Net Zero nodding donkeys, is to be applauded.

What does it mean? Try this:
    * A 30% reduction in energy demand. After 2030, consider that all beef, lamb and dairy will be banned and “replaced by new diets”.
    * A massive 45% cut in most common building materials such as cement, along with a similar reduction in road freight traffic.
    * An attack on farming which will be remorseless with fertiliser restriction halving “direct emission” from the soil.

To sum it all up: widespread rationing and blackouts along with food, holiday and travel restrictions, all within about 60 months.
