Agaricus mushroom - Agaricus, commonly known as button mushroom, is one of the most popular edible and medicinal mushrooms worldwide. Agaricus contains active compounds that exhibit immunomodulatory, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial activity. Animal research has confirmed that agaricus influences both innate and adaptive immune responses. In addition, agaricus contains higher concentrations of vitamin D than other mushroom species.
